ORBITAL GEAR SPINNER designed for HIGH SPEED ROTATION.

Also called a “planetary fidget spinner”, this orbital gear spinner features high rotation speed. This is thanks to a high 4.8:1 gear ratio, and enough clearance to make it spin freely. A bit of silicone based lube will make it spin even faster, but since this is an open gear design, it's not recommended as lube wil be everywhere (eww, gross). The one in the short gif video is used straight out of the printer.

The outer ring has grooves for better grip.

The diameter is ø10cm, which fits most hands. The middle gear can be used as a finger hole, and has a diameter of ø17mm at the outer part and ø15mm torwards the middle. The finger hole is designed like some rings for better comfort.

Printing instructions

BambuLab owners should use the .3mf file.

People who do not own a BambuLab printer can use the following loose guidelines for printing:

• 24mm layer height
• 4 walls
• No infill
• Put down first layer around ¾ speed of your usual first layer
• No brim and no raft should be needed
• Optional: Increase XY hole expansion by 0.1mm for clearance, in case your printer has issues with dimensional accuracy
